We firmly believe to become a competent rider students must learn good horsemanship skills. Each customized lesson consists of tacking, general horse education, animal and rider safety, proper mounting and tack adjustments.
Heritage Ridge Equestrian Center's lesson program is open to all riders regardless of their age, ability, or riding style. We can accommodate both English and Western riding disciplines. The farm favorite, Tonka is an 20 year old Quarter Horse gelding with many years of 4-H and lessening under his belt. He loves what he does!
9 year old Dixie is a Draft Pony Cross, that has multiple championships to her name in English, Western and Gymkhana. She'll give all ages and abilities a great ride.
Gus is a 14 year old Paint gelding. The farm steady eddie he prefers western style riding, is a mean competitor in the show ring but also loves a good trail ride.
Our 15 year old, petite, and sassy Welsh Pony Honey, enjoys being ridden English, competing at local horse shows with our beginner riders as well as teaching driving lessons.
At only 32 inches tall, Billy, our 31 year old, American Miniature Horse is the farm mascot. Don't let his age fool you he still enjoys competing both driving and in hand.
